Ocean Signals EPIRB1 - The Smallest EPIRB On The Market
The guys at Ocean Signals have done it again, the all new EPIRB1 is 33% smaller than the McMurdo, GME and Kannad EPIRBs - once the smallest. What's more, the EPIRB1 now has 66 Channel GPS, 10 Year Battery Life and Class 3 approved - all packed in this small package.
A simple protective tab over the operating keys prevents inadvertent activation, yet allows for easy operation when required. The rescueME EPIRB1 also features two high brightness strobes to maximise visibility in low light conditions.
The retractable antenna provides maximum protection and a reduced outline for stowage. When required the antenna is easily deployed with a gentle pull.
For longer offshore or ocean passages, the Ocean Signal E100G EPIRB offers an exceptional 96 hour operational life with the option of an automatic release housing (mandatory for vessels approved under SOLAS regulations).
The EPIRB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). As this is funded by governments there are NO CHARGES to use this service.
When activated the EPIRB1 transmits your position and your ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite link. Rescue services are promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location.
Personal Locator Beacons are global devices, and regardless of where yours is 'coded and registered', works the same way. In some countries and territories, the RescueMe retails at higher prices than we have here in Australia. If you purchase one from us, then it will be coded for registration with AMSA (register here). If your primary residential address is not in Australia, then AMSA will contact you and suggest that you have the PLB recoded for your country of residence. This is not required, just preferred by the Australian authorities.
